AORTA Race Services

If AORTA does a race for you be sure you understand that we charge a fee for ALL of our races!  We have clocks and timers and expendables that add up to thousands of dollars.  And, those things have to be replaced every few years so our fees go to pay for equipment and to have them maintained. 

1. Equipment Only: If you only want to use our clock the fee is $200 effective February 1, 2008.  If you are renting the clock we do not provide any help on the day of the race.
2. Finish Line & Results:  If you want AORTA to do the finish line results our fee is $350.  All we do on the day of the race is set up the finish line, take care of all the timing, recap the results and give them to the race director.  AORTA doesn't raise funds, we don't do registration, we don't provide water stops, we don't provide volunteers on the course, etc., but we'll tell you what you need to do.  We always recommend that we meet with you weeks before the race to go over what you plan to do.  As a matter of fact we won't help with a race if we can't do that!  We're happy to tell you everything we know and to make recommendations to help your race run smoothly.  (FYI, even AORTA sponsored races have to pay ALL fees, no exceptions)
3. Race Numbers: are not included in any of the above fees.  If you'd like to use our race numbers they are $0.30 each!  But, you can get free race numbers from RoadID, Runners World and possibly Kinnucan's IF you plan ahead.
